Odata cu rapida expansiune a tehnologiei creste si furtul electronic de date. Aceasta accentueaza nevoia de date electronice securizate, necesitand integrarea cardurilor inteligente in infrastructura IT curenta. Urmand aceasta moda, seria ACR38 Smart Card Reader combina tehnologie sofisticata si design modern pentru a raspunde cererii stringente din aplicatiile bazate pe carduri inteligente, cum ar fi: sisteme de plati si identificare electronica, unde nivele ridicate ale securitatii sunt vazute ca esentiale.

Fiind conform cu specificatiile CCID, seria ACR38 ofera solutii plug-and-play ce elimina nevoia instalarii de drivere si problema compatibilitatii intre driver si sistem. Interfata USB faciliteaza comunicatiile dintre computer si cardul inteligent, permitand o implementare fara probleme a aplicatiilor pe orice PC

ACR38 Smart Card Reader este conform cu ISO 7816 si specificatiile EMV Level 1. Accepta ISO 7816 Class A, B si C ( 5V, 3 V and 1.8 V) de carduri, incluzand toate cardurile cu microprocesor cu protocoale T=0, si T=1, de asemenea cele mai populare carduri de memorie de pe piata.

ACR38 mai ofera si un slot Security Access Module (SAM) slot - ACR38U-SAM ce accepta aplicatii variate de inalta securitate. Este deasemenea disponibil in diferite carcase, incluzand noul ACR38U-I1 ce este acum certificat FIPS 201 si conform TAA.
